walking uphill, collecting rocks, wishful thinkingSeptember 15, 2011

It's a new world. I moved out of my studio at summer's end, tired of brown water leaking through the ceiling and staining my walls, floor, and before I learned better, my rugs. I don't think leaky skylights one floor up are an act of God, but the landlord begged to differ. Ah, well. My new spot is a whole lot smaller, but feeling very right for the moment. And I am hoping it pushes me to find other venues for people to see my rugs. I think anything larger than 9' x 12' might seem like wall to wall carpet in this space, although there is plenty of room for acorns! I am getting organized up here, enjoying the view of the giant Locust tree (a bit less of a tree since Miss Irene passed through) and getting ready to send new artwork to Nepal for color matching and samples. I did some watercolor painting this summer on my travels and it will most likely make it's way into rugs very soon. We pretty much kept it East Coast local...from Maine to West Virginia and many points in between, and there was plenty of walking uphill, collecting rocks and wishful thinking. Lovely summer. And thank goodness for fall.
