about the rugs

Amy’s rugs are hand-knotted in Nepal of the highest quality Tibetan wools and Chinese silks -- hand-carded, hand-spun and pot-dyed in small batches. Pairing lanolin-rich wool with sparkly silk gives the rugs amazing softness underfoot, unique visual depth and the sturdiness of their Himalayan origins. Knotted at a minimum of 100 knots/inch, they will last many lifetimes in both residential and commercial spaces.

Rugs are usually made to order in custom sizes & colors; lead-times range from 3-6 months. Amy enjoys the research & collaboration of commissioned projects. She is deeply committed to the values of GoodWeave, , and her membership ensures that no child labor is used in the production of her work. Contact the studio to learn more about commissioning a rug.
